A Quick Update.....

It has been a while since our last update so I thought I would post some of my favorite pictures from the last few weeks.

Trevor was not very excited about this ride. He would only ride for a few seconds before he would jump out!

Here is McKinley playing ball with his two dogs, Trevor and Pooker (cooper...thank goodness we have a speech therapist in the family! )

Meet our newest family member.....

Meet Dorothy the fish!

We went to PetSmart and McKinley decided that he needed a red fish named Dorothy. (Dorothy is named after Elmo's goldfish!) He is into this stage where he needs everything. He whines and cries " I need it Mommy!".
He really really wanted one so we made a deal. We have been working on potty training all summer and we told him that if he would use the potty he could get a fish. He has done really good with this whole potty thing and so we thought he deserved his fish!

He could not wait to show Dorothy his trains. He got mad at mommy when she told him that he could not take them for a ride on the trains or his dump truck!

McKinley the Grouch

We have watched way to much Sesame Street this summer. We bought a new trash can today for outside and McKinley thought it would be fun to play Oscar the Grouch!

I scream...You scream...We all scream for ice cream....sandwiches!!!

McKinley and I thought we would experiment with my new ice cream scoop and ice cream sandwich maker! He is an expert ice cream sandwich maker as you can tell. Watch out Rachel Ray and Emerill, I think I have a future chef in the making.

First you take some scoops of ice cream.....

Road Trip to Kentucky

We just got back from our trip to Kentucky. The whole point of the trip was to see Thomas the Tank Engine, but as you can tell from the pictures we kept busy with other stuff as well. One of our first stops was the Louisville Zoo. McKinley was very excited when he saw the train that went around the park.

A Day Out with Thomas

McKinley was so excited when he finally saw Thomas. We told him that Thomas came just to see him. Everytime that Thomas would blow his whistle McKinley would go crazy!

Daddy and McKinley got to climb up into a old L&N engine and ring the bell.

It was so sweet when McKinley finally got to see Sir Topham Hatt. He walked up to him and shook his hand and then just started jabbering to him. I have no idea what he was telling him, but he had lots to say!

On our way home we stopped at "Dinosaur World". It was pretty cheesy, but McKinley really likes dinosaurs and he liked it!

We have been trying to get McKinley to give up his "boppy". We have been talking for weeks about him giving the t-rex his boppy. We didn't think that he would do it, but he did!

He threw it in the grass and said "Boppy gone gone" . He has asked for it a few times, but we keep telling him that he gave it to the t-rex. We have a back-up boppy if we need it, but hopefully not!

Our final stop, was in Nashville, Tennesse. We stopped in at Ernest Tubb Record Shop. We had to get a picture of McKinley in the "Green Hornet" for Uncle Brian!

What'll Ya Have

"What'll ya have? What'll ya have? What'll ya have? Have your order in your mind and your money in your hand!"

We thought it would be fun to take McKinley to "The Varsity" today. He really enjoyed his cheeseburger, cheese fries and especially his frosted orange!

Since we were in Atlanta, we thought we should cruise on over to the Krispie Kreme.

It was a hard choice, but he decided on the frosted chocolate doughnut with sprinkles!

What a great and yummy day!

Play date with Kate

We had to babysit Cousin Kate while her mommy and daddy went to run some errands. Here are some highlights from our day!

First we had grilled cheese and chips for lunch.

McKinley thinks that Baby Kate is funny!

Next, we played with the rocket and truck!

Next little Mozart and Beethoven played a masterpiece.

We even had time for Van Gogh and Monet to draw some pictures!

Finally, we ended the day with a little wrestling.

What a fun day! McKinley is going to Aunt Tammy and Uncle E's house to play tomorrow! Aunt Tammy says it will be a piece of cake! She hasn't kept her nephew McKinley in a while. We will see who survives tomorrows play date!
