McKinley had the great honor of holding the family tradition and followed in his mommy's footsteps.....in the church Christmas program he was the......donkey! I was ALWAYS the donkey in the church play......and Tammy was ALWAYS the angel. Go figure! :)

Where a Kid Can Be a Kid!

As many of you know, we have had the hardest time getting McKinley to sleep in his bed. He has never been a great sleeper, but the past year has been horrible. We have bribed him, made award charts, given prizes and nothing has really worked. Well, everytime he sees a Chuck E. Cheese commerical he begs us to take him, and we always tell him "you can go if you stay in your bed all night". McKinley has slept on a pallet in the living room right outside our bedroom for the past 6 months. He goes to bed in his room, but in the middle of the night he migrates to his pallet. I thought he was going to be 16 and still camping out on the floor! Well on Halloween night, he stayed in his bed ALL night. We thought that it might of been from exhaustion from the night, but he has stayed in his bed every night since then! I asked him why he decided to start staying in his bed and he told me " the floor is uncomfortable, my bed is better!" Andy and I kept our word and treated McKinley to an outing to Chuck E. Cheese.

Andy refers to McKinley in this picture as "Chief Slap-em-hoes". One day he will appreciate being the only boy among all the girls!

Pumpkin Carving Time!

Wheww...who knew that carving a pumpkin could be so much work.....McKinley is a BIG Ironman fan, so I found this pumpkin carving kit that had Ironman patterns and thought that it would be perfect for our pumpkin this year.
Check out my cute lil pumpkin!

McKinley was grossed out when he saw the insides of the pumpkin.
