We thought that the kids might like a dip in the pool since it was so hot today! McKinley and Cousin Kate had a great time!

Gulf Shores or Bust!
We set out early Wednesday morning for Gulf Shores. We had told McKinley that we were going to see the water. Here are some pictures of him on the ride down.
As you can tell it was an exciting ride down there! We watched lots of Thomas, Go Diego Go and Curious George. There were also some very ferocious dinosaurs in the back seat and an very long and on going game of peek-aboo!
McKinley's favorite part of our condo was the bunk beds. Once he got up there, we could not get him down!
McKinley loves the "b-box" (sandbox). He was so excited when he first saw it! He called the ocean the "big pooool" and the beach the "big b-box) As soon as we got unpacked, we headed to the beach! He was not sure about the ocean yet, but loved playing in the sand.
The next morning we woke up very early (6am). There is nothing like breakfast on balcony!
We were the only people on the beach. I think at 6:30 in the morning we were the only people up! McKinley liked having the beach to himself!
We collected lots of shells!
Here is McKinley at the Zoo. He loved feeding the goats and deer.

Fun in the Sun
We had to upgrade to a bigger kiddie pool this year! Here are some pictures from McKinley playing in it for the first time!
Trip to Pine Mountain
We took another trip to the Wild Animal Park in Pine Mountain. We went last summer and McKinley really liked it. We knew that he would love it even more this summer!

McKinley really didn't like the animals when they stuck their head in the van. He really liked throwing the food out the window and yelling " I did it!" When an animal would stick its head in the window he would jump into his daddy's lap!

Curious McKinley Visits The Firehouse
We took McKinley to see the "ire-uck" today! He was so excited. He took his little firetruck with him and the whole way there he was in the back of the car going "eeoo-eeoo big ire-uck" He loved seeing the big trucks. They let him sit up in the truck and blow the air horn. He thought that was really cool! We didn't get to stay long because the firemen had to go to a call, but we are going to go back this summer and hopefully get to ride in the truck!
The Sick Patient
Sorry it has been so long since we updated. McKinley has been under the weather the past few weeks. Here are a few pictures of my sick patient.
This is a very rare picture. McKinley got a new "Go Diego Go" DVD and laid on the couch and watched the whole thing! All 62 mintutes of it! We hate that he is sick, but the calm version of McKinley is nice too!
McKinley refuses to take his medicine. We have tried making "Gatorade Cocktails", mixing it in his chocolate milk and he usually spits it back out. This morning I bribed him with a sucker! Whatever works! Sometimes a cherry sucker for breakfast is good for your health!

McKinley Moments
Spring is here and we are enjoying this beautiful weather! McKinley got a new turtle sandbox and sandbox toys for this birthday. He loves scooping sand from one bucket to the other!
We just fenced in our backyard to "contain" McKinley. He was not happy about it at first, but I think he is getting use to the idea. Trevor, however, loves it! Trevor is 8 years old and has never been able to run without a leash. He is in heaven! Here he is checking out McKinley and the sand!
The other day McKinley and I were upstairs. The next thing I knew, he was gone! I went downstairs to the living room....no McKinley. I walked into his room and this is what I found. He had taken the pillow from the couch, carried it into his room, changed DVD's and was watching a movie. When I walked into the room he looked up and said " Hi Mommy".
These are some of my favorite pictures. One afternoon our snack was a piece of chocolate cake. I was being silly, he was being silly and we were both laughing so hard! Can you tell we were having a good time!?!?
